From Challenge to Triumph: The BREOC Story
BREOC Impact Report 2024

Through its partnership with PrairiesCan, BREOC has emerged as a pillar of resilience and innovation amid economic transition. As the region faced the challenges posed by the closure of the Westmoreland Mine and Battle River Generating Station, BREOC took the lead in ensuring sustainable socio-economic prosperity for its communities.
This report aims to articulate the qualitative impacts and benefits achieved through the BREOC-PrairiesCan partnership, presented through a comprehensive analysis of eight (8) client case studies. These case studies highlight the significant journeys of local businesses and organizations, the sources of support they received, the challenges they faced, their achievements, and the impacts and benefits to the region.
